Armadillidae sp "Purple Wasp" is an exceptionally rare undescribed tropical isopod from Vietnam. It is admired for its rich smoky purple body, accented by translucent cream margins and subtle wasp-like banding that inspired its common name. Unlike many tropical isopods, "Purple Wasp" appreciates noticeably cooler conditions and is definitely a challenging species to keep.
The metallic purple sheen of "Purple Wasp" is difficult to capture in photographs!
