Armadillidium gestroi
Originating from France, Armadillidium gestroi, commonly known as the Giant Yellow Spotted Isopod, is one of Europe's largest and most iconic isopod species. It is instantly recognisable by its glossy charcoal-grey body decorated with vivid lemon-yellow spots, creating a striking contrast that becomes even more pronounced as adults mature. Hardy, active, and frequently seen exploring the enclosure, gestroi are an excellent display and beginner friendly species.
Armadillidium gestroi is one of the largest Armadillidium species in the hobby, with fully grown adults regularly reaching around 2 cm in length
