Cubaris sp "Daxin Tricolor"
Cubaris sp “Daxin Tricolor” is a striking Chinese isopod known for its sharply divided three-colour pattern. The front of the body is a rich amber-orange, the middle segments are deep charcoal to black with pale streaked markings, and the rear is finished with a bright white tail section. This unusual orange, black and white banding gives the species an instantly recognisable appearance and explains the “Tricolor” part of its hobby name.
“Daxin” appears to refer to Daxin County in Guangxi, China, the locality from which this isopod is reported to originate, while “Tricolor” describes its three distinct bands of orange, black and white
