Species profile

Cubaris sp "Flame White Ducky"

Native to Thailand, Cubaris sp “Flame White Ducky” is an exceptionally rare tropical isopod admired for its glowing orange-to-golden colouration. The warm amber body is contrasted by pale white cheeks and a bright white rear section, giving the species the unmistakable rounded appearance associated with ducky-type isopods. Its rich flame-like tones can vary subtly between individuals and under different lighting, ranging from burnt orange to golden honey. Rarely available and reportedly slow to breed.

Despite its name, "Flame White Ducky" is not simply a colour form of the familiar White Ducky. It is regarded in the hobby as a separate Thai isopod
