Cryptophyllium limogesi "Thac Krong Kmar" Nymphs – Captive-Bred
Cryptophyllium limogesi "Thac Krong Kmar" is a newly discovered leaf insect species from the tropical rainforests of southern Vietnam. This morphologically distinct species is one of the largest in culture—arguably the largest—rivaling the size of Pulchriphyllium giganteum "Tapah Hills".
These nymphs are currently unsexed, but as they are from fertilized eggs, they can mature into males or females.
Care Information
- Size: L2/L3 nymphs (~20–30mm in length)
- Foodplant: Feeding well on bramble; also accepts oak, beech, and rose species
- Temperature: 20–28 °C. Room temperature is usually fine
- Humidity: 60–80% – mist enclosure daily or every other day
- Enclosure: Minimum 45 × 45 × 60 cm (W*L*H). Extra height preferred for moulting and climbing especially considering this is a larger species
