Horsehead Grasshopper (Paraproscopia scabra) Nymphs – Captive-Bred
Horsehead grasshoppers are among the strangest and most distinctive-looking invertebrates. They are found in regions across South America, including Peru and Brazil. They resemble stick insects in many ways and get their name from their unusual, comically shaped head that resembles a horse with cartoon-like eyes.
These nymphs are currently unsexed, but as they are from fertilized eggs, they can mature into males or females.
These can be kept exactly like stick insects!

- Size: L2/L3 nymphs (~20–30mm in length)
- Foodplant: Feeding well on bramble; also accepts oak, beech, and rose species
- Temperature: 19–27 °C. Room temperature is usually fine
- Humidity: 65–80% – mist enclosure daily or every other day
- Enclosure: Minimum 30 × 30 × 45 cm (W*L*H). Extra height preferred for moulting and climbing
